BRMGSU Leads Human Rights & Social Security Meet for Unorganised Workers….

GRS News India : Hoogly, 20th January 2026. A massive conference on Human Rights Awareness and Social Security for Unorganised Sector Workers – 2026 was held at Dunlop Maidan, Hooghly, with participation of over 20,000 railway Mall Godam labourers from across West Bengal. Organised by BRMGSU and Bharatiya Labour Union with support from SGT University and Nomo Foundation, the meet focused on labour rights and social security. Inaugurating the programme, BRMGSU President Dr. Parimal Kanti Mondal said, “Without unity and legal awareness, dignity of labour cannot be protected.” NHRC Member Priyank Kanoongo assured action on workers’ grievances. The conference ended with a renewed resolve to strengthen collective struggle for unorganised workers’ rights.
